REPORT OF 2ND DAF POLL No. 012011
DAF Poll was created to monitor public opinion on a number of issues.
INTRODUCTION:
In the first week of January 2011 the second DAF Poll, created by David Fraser, was carried out. This Poll was open to all members of The David Fraser Group. Polling took place from January 3rd 2011 to January 5th 2011. The feedback from the Poll was collated with the intention of monitoring public opinion on issues at hand. This report was generated to be distributed in an effort to ensure the voices of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago are heard, are taken into consideration.
ASSESSMENT:
Figure 1 below charts the six individual statements that the DAF Poll requested Members to vote on. Members were asked to indicate which of the statements they were in agreement with. They also had the option of agreeing with multiple statements. Basically it was one question with 6 elements. For ease of use in this report and in an effort to ensure clarity, each of these 6 elements will hereafter be referred to as a question.
Figure 1 illustrates the selections that were available in the 2nd DAF Social Media Poll
Figure 2 illustrates the percentage of persons who agreed with the corresponding questions as shown in figure 1
Figure 3 illustrates the percentage of persons who agree with the corresponding question as shown in figure 1
Figures 2 and 3 above clearly chart that the least agreement was regarding questions 2 and 4 which are; 2 The Peoples Partnership does not need the Congress of the People (COP) to remain in government and 4 The Peoples Partnership needs the Congress of the People (COP) to remain in government.
These graphs also indicate that 28.6% of Members who voted, agreed with both questions 5 and 6 which were; 5 The Peoples Partnership will remain in Government if the Congress of the People (COP) remains a partner and 6 The Peoples Partnership will not remain in Government if the Congress of the People (COP) does not remain a partner.
Figure 4 illustrates the percentage of persons who agree with the corresponding question as shown in figure 1
HOW SAMPLE WAS TAKEN:
The sample was taken by way of information collated from the online contribution made by Members of David Fraser's Group. Members indicated their agreement to one or more of the above statements, as shown in Figure 1, by voting through David Fraser’s Group on Facebook. Information was analysed and presented in accordance with the percentage of Members who contributed their agreement to one or more of the Poll questions.
SAMPLE SIZE:
5.7 % of David Fraser’s Group voted on this poll through Facebook.
CONCLUSION:
This DAF Social Media Poll clearly indicates that based on the contributions made by Members of David Fraser's Group during this poll, there is the belief that the Peoples Partnership Government will succeed in completing its term in office with or without the assistance of the Congress of the People.
